In Greece, every vehicle on the road must have third-party liability (TPL) insurance. Without it, you cannot drive legally and in an accident you are personally liable for damage to others.
Basic TPL covers bodily injury and property damage you cause to others. It does not cover your own damage, vehicle theft or glass breakage; for those you need partial or comprehensive cover.
For new drivers, rental vehicles or business fleets, terms and premiums differ.
