What does travel insurance cover?
Generali travel insurance is a comprehensive, flexible annual programme. It covers all your trips within the year — including last-minute travel — with protection for medical emergencies, baggage, trip cancellation or curtailment, personal accident, third-party liability and more, without time-consuming bureaucracy.
What ages does the insurance cover?
The insured person can be aged 1 to 69 at policy issue. An additional premium applies for ages 64–69. Family members (spouse and children aged 1–16) can be included on the same policy.
Where does the cover apply?
Generali travel insurance provides worldwide cover. The Generali Call Center, staffed by medical, nursing and administrative personnel, is available 24/7 for advice and guidance wherever you are.
What counts as a "trip" under the programme?
A trip is travel to a destination within the policy's geographical limits, with a maximum duration of 60 days per trip. Carriers include taxis, private or rental cars, and recognised airlines, shipping, railway and road operators on lawful routes.
How do claims and payouts work?
Generali commits to paying claims within 24 hours of a completed claim file. For amounts up to €3,000, compensation can be deposited directly into your bank account without extra bureaucracy. The policy is issued immediately once the application is complete.
